Dawne Collins Mezurek Dwight Collins looking for a link to my grandfather Harold B Collins 1915 . Mother Rubie Leonora Webb-Cole Dobbins. Married John W Dobbins. Harold was born in Boyd ,Kentucky. He was the 1st child of Rubie. Raised by Dobbins. Story goes Rubie left John just before or after marriage, and came back pregnant with Harold. Dobbins wouldn't give his Sur name to Harold immediately, but some census show Harold Dobbins. ( Could be typographical error or assumption) From what I was told and from photos, Harold has some Mullengeon or other DNA. The last names caused a family- military upset when Harold joined the military... Not sure how or what. There are no living relatives or connection to the Collins Name. My Grandmother, Harold's wife, very few that are alive, either do not know the family history or are past away. Including my father. I've done some research for Collins and I simple cannot get any where passed a few census reports that I've seen. I'm just trying to find a link, a distant family member, or someone that knows Harold and can sit and help me out with my genes.
Dwight Collins looks like Harold Berry Collins may have been officially adopted and changed his name, or had it changed for him as a minor.OR the whole dobbins thing is a typo and should read Collins wouldn't be the 1st time I'm checking .

Dwight Collins just by the geography and cultural hints Harold B may very well be from one of Valentine /collins descendents especially since they were at Cabin Creek..a lot of those collins went up there..I've sent out a cpl feelers let's wait and see that may be a transcription error too.

Dwight Collins you can copy and paste it into your own it's just various items I don't have them except for on here the thing is he was born in ashland there's one more set of collins I don't have files on so I have to look them up but other than my line it's likely onlt certain collins families would have been born there and not say paintsville or greenup
