.I give and devise to my loving wife Mary BAILY, my whole estate, real and personal, during her widowhood and after her marriage or decease... my will is that my land should be sold and the money arising therefrom, be equally divided among all my children or such of them as shall be then living.
. To son James, after the marriage or decease of his mother, one Negro boy Solomon, to him and his heirs forever.

Joseph Bailey, a son Carr and Mary (Minter) Bailey, was born in Faquier County VA about 1756 and died there in 1826. His Will was dated February 27, 1826 and his estate was inventoried in 1826. Executors were two sons, Washington and Henry. He married Hannah Newby. The Faquier County marriage bond was dated August 9, 1777. Hannah was deceased by 1813.
Joseph and Hannah purchased land in 1810 which was subsequently
conveyed by deed to Washington and Henry Bailey on April 12, 1813. The deed mentions Hannah, wife of Joseph, as being deceased.
