Mary is Mary Evangeline May, oldest daughter of Thomas Hazelgreen May and Edy H McGuire. Mary was born 10 Nov 1858 in Mount Sterling, Montgomery County, Kentucky and died as Mary Silvers in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas on 21 Mar 1912.

I have a copy of her Texas death certificate.

 Her father and siblings moved to Cherokee, San Saba County, Texas between 1880 and 1890. It appears that she did not want to be left behind or missed her family enough to follow them to Texas later. Mary was the sister of my wife’s great-grandmother Nancy Jane “Nannie” May.
